Pentax doesn't currently have an entry level DSLR in production. K-30 is considered "Enthusiast", basically just above Entry.

Still, great to see the K-5 sensor is still beating the competition with a stick.

Also: Woo. No Canon Appearances on the List.(Mostly. They tied for a compact)

That's actually a pretty good list. Those Panasonics are solid cameras. Wow, really nice summary of the K-5II too:

"The Pentax K-5 II is a rugged, magnesium alloy bodied, weatherproof, well designed and high quality camera with a kit zoom that is really very good indeed, and provides a package that looks very exciting against its rivals. It is more compact, arguably slicker in operation and provides the highest standards at a relatively low price level."

Kinda argues against someone here's assertion recently that the Pentax interface is not slick enough with the comment - "slicker in operation".

Indeed! I don't know how much to put ino this, but I was somewhat pleasantly surprised to see Pentax K-5 (without II) beat Nikon D7000 in a Snapsort September 2012 update:

Indeed! K-5II is #2 and K-30 is tied for #4 overall. The #1 is a FF D800. Their review of the K-5II is here:

and it gives the camera 5 stars. This is really good for Pentax to have both the dSLRs on the list and with outstandingly positive comments.

Sending the second best is good enough to clinch the title.

K5iis must be feeling lonely with no peer lol!

On a different note Canon 7D dynamic range is horrid. I tried lifting shadow on iso 100, all I got was some horizontal noise.
