No focal length on M/K lenses? :(

So I've been using this k-5 for a while and it appears that in lightroom it does not see the focal length I entered into the body for M/K lenses. On the k-7 it shows focal length. This is somewhat useful obviously. Does anyone know why adobe camera raw doesn't see it even now, years after the camera's release? I know that other programs do according to some comments I read. I find this baffling really. Why would it work for the k-7 and not the k-5?

I don't use lightroom, but ACR 5.6 sees the focal length.

I have Lightroom 4.2 and it reads my M lenses just fine. What lens are you using?

I use Darktable and have no issues, did you set the focal length for shake reduction?

You need to grab an update. Your ACR version included with LR does not know the K-5.

Odd. I'm running lr 4.2. This is with the m50 1.4. It shouldn't matter though, the camera knows nothing about the lens other than what you select for focal length. Hmmmm. So this isn't normal?

Anyone notice how horribly the k-5's lcd is calibrated? The k-7 I have is spot on, but to match the nice neutral gray I had to adjust my k-5 to m6 b3 to get the same. It was too greenish before. Now whites look more normal. Anyone notice that?

So this ended up being a one time occurrence. I still have no idea what happened, but now it seems to work. Its possible I had shake reduction OFF as that removes the prompt for focal length input it seems. One day I turned on my camera and it wouldn't prompt me for the focal length, and I eventually realized it was because SR was disabled. Now I just leave it enabled all the time as I realized that the 2s timer with mirror lockup already disables it automatically. I think its probably useful in bulb or with a remote to disable it though.
