K5 II - any major issues?

Well, I think it's crunch time, and time to seriously think about getting the K5 II

Just wanted to know if there have been any issues which the K5 suffered?

Any dust on LCD?
Any buttons falling off?
Any sensor stains?

Just want to make sure things are all looking good before I spend the £££!!

Negative, the sensor stain issue is history. The LCD doesn't have an air gap, so dust won't be getting in the way, either.

That just leaves buttons...which I'm sure someone will post about eventually. Never was a massive issue though.

He means the lens release button falling off, which was a defect of some original k-5 cameras.

I came to Pentax K5 II from using a Canon 5D Mk1, so for me the only issue was the 300+ page user manual (all English). I love the camera and the manual is good, just a lot to digest in trying to learn all the camera's features and ways to set it up.

Lol, I have heard the sensor performance is too good in all aspects. But hey they might be just rumors.

I've only had one issue with the k5iis.
The camera became unresponsive when I half-pressed the shutter button. The red focus confirmation box and the top lcd were lit up and wouldn't turn off. Pressing any buttons and turning the camera off did not do anything.

I had to remove the battery and after that, everything was fine.

I could not replicate the issue..

I have had mine now for about 10 days and no issues. A couple of times I have had it temporarily freeze but each time, simply changing the mode dial fixed the issue. but so far, I am loving this camera. It has really got me enthused about the act of shooting and crafting images.

I'm pretty bummed that they modified the SD card door so it opens up farther than on the K-7 and K-5 and now it's just too easy to get the card out of the camera

For those who have the K5II and IIs, have the flash overexposure demons of the K-5 been exorcised?
