Dirty sensor? New K-5

Is this a dirty sensor or something else?New K-5 with only 256 shots taken.Didn't notice this until I was trying to get a picture of the hawk.Time stamp in exif has the date incorrect as this was taken yesterday

Yes, looks like a dirty speck on the sensor; you could use a jet blower to clean it off..

Try some shots of the sky with a wide angle lens at f16 or f22, it it appears in the same spot then it's some type of gunk on the sensor.

It could be a bug - telephoto lenses bring out all sorts of things under the right conditions:

Found the spot looking at the lcd just after the pictures were taken,all had the spot except if the hawk blotted it out.Looked at the lens and it was clean.Will check more with shorter lens at f22 and try to see if there are any more.Hate that new camera has dirty sensor.

New or old, any camera with an interchangeable lens can get a dirty sensor really easily. A tiny spec of dust that you can't even see can produce a mark like that in a photo. Even cameras with fixed lenses can get dust in them.
