Man! There are a lot of fascinating pictures in this thread! The sharpness of the K-5IIs is mind blowing!

I really want a K-5IIs, but they're going for insane money new & still pricey used. I wish I had bought one when I had the chance, last January. I could have gotten a new body for $500 from B&H.
Otis is that you ? I hope you will find one !

Not here. There were problems with pork meat 20-40 years ago, it had to be fully cooked, but never with beef or lamb...

One of your best, Rupert! Also terrific blue jays a few posts back. I've noticed there is one outside my office window some days. I'll have to take a camera to work.

Extremely compelling shots, FS. I'm not normally excited by photos of food, but those prawns look delicious. My favorite, though, is number 6, the moth (or is it a butterfly?).

Thank you! Thank you! I try....and sometimes I get lucky, most often not, but I keep trying!

FS...#4-6-9-12 hit my hot spot, but of course they are all excellent, as we have come to expect! What is that #4? Looks delicious! #9 looks superbly delicious.....can I have a second helping?
Otis wants to know when you are going to post some junk shots so his squirrels can sit on the fence and laugh at you......like they laugh at me?

I shot these this morning just because "they were there". At ISO 3200 1/160 handheld @500mm they are sure not my best...but Otis is making dumplings and wanted some gravy.....

Tryin' to get a better look at my big Bigma....

Regards!

What I like about this thread.....
People talk to each other....even FS, not known to be a big conversationalist, manages a few words. I just hate threads where people drag and drop a photo and wander off without ever noticing that anyone else exists.....and apparently ignoring the work of everyone else.
Not everyone has a big mouth like me and Otis, but everyone does like to know that someone saw their shots, liked them or not, and feels like they are a part of the thread, not just ignored as if they don't exist.
You guys are helping to keep this thread alive, interesting and a fun place to post!

Thanks!

Sorry I have not been around for a while.
Those that know the reason will understand

FS, love 5 and 6, really amazing.
Rupert, all the birds are great, all of your shots are superb
JVA, great compositions, especially the monochrome

I have not been out in the past few weeks, I really need to resolve this.

Cheers

Leon

which means : "Ingot of Duck foie gras softened with a Raspberry jelly, Toasts of Brioche bread with Wolfberries"
#9 is a tomato and mozzarella salad with lemon marinated shrimps and a tomato-chili juice.

Otis & friends can look at my Flickr page, there are a lot there

Superb last dove shot !

It is I.

At the rate I'm finding them, chances are that I will end up with a K-3.

My shots are seldom more than half decent, but I do appreciate the kind words.

It's a tough situation Leon, but you do need to get out and soon. It is part of the healing process, and an important part.

FS...That's some pretty fancy words of description. Around here, me and Otis eat some delicacies ourselves, but leave off the fancy names.....

Otis is well aware of your Flickr gallery, he downloads and prints your shots all the time....his penthouse walls are a regular "FS Gallery of Fine Art".
He has to print them pretty small but plans on enlarging his penthouse this Fall to accommodate larger prints.

Thank you! It's pretty grainy, but I did like the pose! Due to the light .....or lack of it...here in the Woods of Otis, I am forced to shoot at high ISO most of the time.

A couple from late yesterday...nice poses but also had to shoot them at high ISO.

These Jays are always hollering about something!
ISO 3200

ISO 6400

Hang in there Leon.

FS...If you want to sue Otis for stealing your photos, you can contact his attorney...Lawyer Louie Squirrel. Good Luck!
