Rupert,

great shot of that jay. That image really shows off the coloring of that bird.

Wow, that first shot is amazing for ISO 12, 800
Thanks 1952. If I ever shoot anything amazing, which is questionable, all the credit goes to the handsome squirrels!

Regards!

#1-2-6-7-10 are my favs, but all are excellent FS. Otis is making us a rubber stamp for approval of your shots.

I liked #8 too...but Otis said it looked like a woolly caterpillar that bit him once....be careful out there!

Hi FS.

Great Shots.
Thanks, yes, 40k is rather excessive for a flash shot, but I was asked by a friend to shoot the shots with flash at medium and high ISO to make comparisons.
She has a Nikon 7000D and stated that Pentax was a toy...
Needless to say, she was coloured impressed.

I tried with 50k, was a little too much
My main issue was that the 8k RAW image was a mess of various colours (SD card issues).

DaKight, nice... very nice indeed.

Rupert, love the squirrel shots.

Cheers

Leon

A little birdie...kinda noisy and a little OOF but I liked her pose!

Otis said if I post them real small I can cheat and you guys can't see the noise!

No cheating needed with a handsome squirrel!

Not often in the dark Woods of Otis that I can get 1/250 and f10. A little ray of sunlight just hit the right spot at the right time.

Regards!

Thanks FS! Otis is making a rubber stamp for me too....all it says is "PATHETIC-REJECTED"

Been hearing this crow for several days. Finally he showed up on the Cheater Branch. Not enough light......but I got his head! I forget if crows bring good luck or bad? There aren't any squirrels around so maybe they mean bad news...for squirrels?

Regards!

Fine shot of a handsome little devil! I know Otis will appreciate it.....I just shot this one and as you can see, he is currently at a loss for words.

Regards!

I didn't ask, but I know Otis will want this for your squirrel shot!

You are always welcome FS! Otis sends his regards!

The big black crow came back around today and asked for the whereabouts of the "Head Honcho" squirrel...he said he had some head-pecking to do. Otis was nowhere to be found!

Even in the dim light at 3200 I was able to get a little better detail this time!

Regards!

FS, great shot.
Rupert, fantastic crow, the second has great texture.

I threw my back out a couple of weeks ago (Slipped a disc), so no photographs atm.
It's also getting darker here, so only night shots from now on when weather permits.

Time to go through the saved RAW files and see what I can salvage from the previous 12 months

Cheers

Leon
