Beauties all. As usual, I am most captivated by the atmospheric landscapes, 9 & 12.

Otis wants to see the shot for proof.
He has to wait and see when the photo is published on Flickr

I assume this is pixel peeping at 100% on RAW files ? Or did you mean resized to view full image equally with both? I know the 16mp sensor is pretty amazing and punches way above it's weight class still, but that is a pretty astounding comment.
It is when I process the raw in Topaz DeNoise. The overall strength with my setting is higher with K-1 (0.4) photos than with K-5IIs (0.2). I suppose it has to do with pixel density and base ISO, the same difference exists with the K-3...

Thank you jva59 !

Today it rained cats and dogs and turtles too. This little guy was warming himself on my patio, he wouldn't come out of his shell but he cracked the door open to have a peek at what I was doing.
Your little friend is awesome!

Well, he is waiting and still nothing? If you cooked and ate the little birdie just own up to it FS, Otis will find out sooner or later and seek his revenge.

Love those FS, and I am partial to #11. However, Otis tells me that #12 is my absolute favorite...so I guess it is?

Reckon how many of these you have now?

Late evening Whitewing @ISO 1600....smooth enough for flank steak gravy!

K-1 photos are little more grainy at 100 ISO than K-5 II s at 80 ISO !
I don't know if this is true. However, remember the low resolution of the K5. If you downsize that K1 image to the resolution of the K5 it's going to improve that K1 image.

It's true. And 16 MegaPixels are 16 Megapixels... If you want to compare, you have to compare the K-1 to the K-5 IIs and not the K-5...

Haven't been around this week....all my time has been with the K1 trying to learn it. I will shortly be sending off my K5II s to see if it can be repaired. It is a great camera, I am hoping for the best!
Meanwhile I will still drop in here to admire what you guys/ girls post!

Otis says I can strip out the EXIF and post K1 shots here and lie about it. I think I need to enroll Otis in an ethics class!

Some of my last K5IIs shots...

Skinny little guy!

Chubby little girly!

Bravery on the Cheater Branch!

I'm gonna miss my K5IIs while it is gone....it is as capable as my K1 at getting great shots, just not as good at the fast focus and very high ISO shooting. Best Pentax I have ever owned until I got the K1....and I want it repaired if possible, I will always love it!

A tribute to my K5IIs......she nailed this one like my K5IIs has nailed so many! Get well and come home!'

Best Regards!

Rupert, hopefully they will fix your K5IIs up good as new. At least you have that K-1 to keep you company while it's gone.
Here's one of a barber shop.
