You know I am so reliant on the f2.8 of 16-50 when comes to low light, even though the IQ is so so, but it is better than nothing. But Jim your shot is excellent! What about the rest of the photos?

Wow Jim this is great! Pentax K5 Photography by Jim Radcliffe

You mentioned GH2, I wonder how the GH3 stacked up against K5IIs? I just love the wifi capabilities and the video functions of the GH3, and of course the 12-35 f2.8 that is sharp wide open, meaning I would gain much DOF without compromising on IQ and can shoot lower ISO as well.

Astounding photograph. I reckon this would make a splendid fine art poster for next year's event.

I don't have a GH3 so I cannot answer your question. I am using the GH2 less and less as the Pentax and Fuji are covering my needs very well. The only use I might have for the GH2 now would be video and I seldom do much video.

Great shot, Jim! Please publish more

Currently I am confused if I should keep my 5D... There are just two reasons I'd stick with a fullframe - a fast 35 and a 24 TSE. However, I don't know if I'll ever buy a TSE and how much I am going to use my 35/2... If Fuji presents the 23/1.4 and a TSE, I'd be really tempted... sorry for being slightly offtopic

I had the Canon 5D II and finally convinced myself I did not need full frame. I have no regrets. Pentax takes a bit of getting used to... but the Pentax system can produce some amazing photos.. not to mention the weather sealing, smaller size, Etc.. My back was breaking from lugging around the 5D II and a bag full of L Glass.

During the five days I was there I took over 1500 frames.... I have to get them off my laptop into my workhorse PC at home and then start the culling process... I have some that I know will be very good... several alone, made the trip worthwhile. I'll have more... it's just going to take some time.... as I have about five days of work to catch up on at the office..

Wow, Jim - great photo. There's so much character in it. Somehow I don't feel sorry for you're aching back having to pack around all of that nice, heavy equipment. Thanks for sharing your image.

Love the latest lba collection. The Sigma 70mm 2.8 is sharp wide open!
