Nice shots, Koala, waterfall. I do agree the 18-55 is one of the nicest kit lens around.

K5IIs + FA*85. Shooting backlit style portrait, intentionally letting the sun hit the glass... seem to be a style employed by some Japanese photographer, and am trying to emulate them...

I was at my favourite birding place and all the birds disappeared, and this guy showed up.

Yeah, the birds are toast with these guys around. I watch a couple on the Columbia River. One eating a Coot, the other a salmon. Cool shot.

I was practicing with spot and other types of metering one way and heard these two honking from the other direction. My settings, shutter speed especially, were not really right for this shot but I quickly turned, panned and shot a burst of about 10 photos. The other is what it is but very little processing. (I shoot raw). Both were shot with the Pentax 17-70 on the IIs.
