Wonderful shots ! And happy to hear that Otis did leave your house standing

To overcome the haze, you should use a polarizer filter like Hoya Pro1D or Hoya HD !
It make beautiful dark blue skies too !

Click on the photos for details...

Thanks FS.....I left most of my gear at home, including all my filters. I could have used them, the haze was pretty bad on a couple of days from the Mexican coal burning power plant across the border. It was a fun trip, and that was what I was hoping for! Great weather and my family was there too.

Otis Army did about $800. in damage to my neighbors electrical system.....He once shot at them with a BB gun...I tried to tell him it was a big mistake, they don't forget things like that.

Now that I am back home, it's back to the squirrels and birdies. Shot this one a few minutes ago. Not bad for ISO 1600.

Handsome young fellow!

Regards!

FS- Been gone on vacation this week. Got back to find Otis' Army ate the wiring on one of my neighbors cars...but never touched mine. Maybe it was because I had socks full of mothballs tied under all the hoods!

A few from our trip to Big Bend.

Great trip! Great weather!

Regards!

Great shots, Rupert!

Otis has requested...demanded...that I apologize for wasting space here posting "worthless birds". My apologies, I don't know why I did it and I am truly sorry. Yes, I agree with Otis, no one wants to see old common birds when handsome squirrels are available for shooting and posting.

The scowl on Otis' face says it all.....again, my apology!

Otis says that is too green and distracts from his "handsomeness". Maybe the little rodent will like this one better?

Regards!

Thanks FS....Otis is easily annoyed by my shooting.

The processing on that last birdie was pretty sloppy...here it is a little better done with the white under his wing the correct color.

I don't need excuses for sloppy work...I'm old and worn out, that is not an excuse, it's a reason!

Regards!

Thanks 1952! You could attribute any good shots I post to hard work, technical expertise, full familiarity with my camera and lenses, and diligent study of the art of photography. Or, you could get it right and just chalk it up to a little good luck!

Best Regards!

Otis thinks we need to pick up the pace in this thread. He says the best way is some NSFW naked girls...but if we don't have any, then handsome squirrels will do the job? Not sure about that, but I'll give it a try while I am searching for some naked girls.....

Always a squirrel posted here on "lookout"...looking for danger, but mostly looking for a free meal!

Did someone say free meal? Otis never wants to miss a free meal!

Regards!

If you don't have any naked girls or handsome squirrels...post something! The K5IIs is too fine a camera to sit dormant!

Thanks FS!... but superb are the shots you post, Otis says mine are just ordinary or less in comparison! I really like the mood in that last one! Love the yellow blast in the first one too!
