It can be a real "ouch" moment when they get hung up in some tree branches!

I caught this handsome fellow today; the first one I've ever seen in Arizona.

K-5 IIs, SMC Pentax-F 35-105mm f4-5.6

Yikes! The blue fringe monster has struck. In my excitement to get the shot I totally missed that massive CA.

A SAAB B17 dive bomber with an (simulated) engine fire after a (simulated) dogfight, shoot at the airshow last weekend.

I guess I need to conform...Just jump in a thread, post my shot, ignore everyone else like they don't exist, and then leave to be off on my way to do the same in some other thread.......after all I am the most important person on earth, who could be interested in anyone else? No wonder I am so popular and been here for years with almost a dozen "Likes"!

Nice shot. They look so cute but are pests.

Still, it's a good catch.

Thanks 1952! They really aren't much trouble here, they only come for the food and have never destroyed anything.....yet!

I'd reply to the Ugly Posters too, as you have, but they would never see it anyhow. They can only see their own work and don't even know the rest of us exist. They don't even come back around for ages because they are busy dumping off in other threads.

Regards!

Wow Gimbal! You can see stuff here after all.....my mistake! I can't say I blame you for not commenting on my shots, I am mediocre at best, but we have others here too that post some excellent work, and none of them would think of posting one of their shots in a dark closet where it would not be viewed or receive any comments, either good or bad as encouragement to continue posting.

It is called common courtesy to acknowledge the work of others, even briefly to let them know you at least took a few precious seconds to view their work. Not much happens in a vacuum, and that certainly goes for threads on social sites, and a lot of what happens here is a social interaction.
I have always heard if the shoe fits , wear it....although it may be uncomfortable. It can't be all that hard to reply to the work of others....some shots I see here are so fine it is hard not to reply. You don't have to write a book...just a few words if that is all you have, but just dropping off shots like at a dumping ground and moving on is not classy in my view.

Regards!

In my opinion, Otis is uglier with this treatment !

PS: I had a representative of Otis with a gun pointing to me, I had to say that to save my life, sorry !

Nice shots interested_observer !

Well FS, no one can deny that Otis and little FS are damn handsome critters! I like the Raccoons, but they are not in the same league as handsome squirrels.
I haven't seen little FS in about a week, Otis says he is deep in the Woods of Otis making a huge batch of that corn whiskey. Wherever he is lurking, you can bet he is lookin' good!

Regards!

Yep, you never know just what they are up to, but it is usually not good.

You can relax a little when you see a "Happy Face", it means that at least for the time being they are content to do nothing.

OTOH
---If you are a little Carolina Wren and mean ol' squirrels ate all your food today, it's hard to put on a happy face.....

Nice pics, they go well together. Opposite ends of the spectrum.
