Many thanks, FS and th 1952! Here are a few more, also from Berlin and Potsdam. The first is from a light show on which we stumbled by chance, a short history of Germany's parliament in the 20th century projected across the river Spree on the buildings in the new government quarter. I can't remember if I mentioned that I have memories of visiting Berlin that go back to the decade before reunification. The transformation that the city has undergone and continues to undergo never ceases to amaze me.

I suppose these pics could be as much about the FA77 Ltd I just picked up on the marketplace, as they are about my K5IIs. I've only ever posted a couple pics, but this camera and lens combo practically takes its own nice pics

Terrific squirrel action shot, but I especially loved numbers 1 & 3, the empty village streets under the sun--put me in the mood for a siesta.

jva59 I enjoyed that tour, some very fine shots! You are fortunate in your travels too!

Hard to pick on those FS.......Maybe #1 #3 , the handsome squirrel and the last one with that magic lens would be my favorites. All excellent!

Got my computer back today, can finally process on it and use my ASUS monitor to get the colors right.

Got it all hooked back up just in time late this evening to catch this Woody. All at high ISO, but they worked out better than I expected. These Woodies are really neat little fellows, and fearless. They will peck a hole in a squirrel's head without hesitation!

They like those sunflower seeds...all the animals like them, even the raccoons.

I know you guys really had rather have handsome squirrels, maybe I will get a shot or two tomorrow instead of worthless birdies?

Regards!

Thank you Rupert !

Nice little woody !

Otis said yesterday :
-Do you know why birds are not so handsome as squirrels ?
-Because they are handless !

Hilarious isn't it ?

Thanks 1952! I don't let high ISO stop me from getting a shot. Sure, they are not the same quality as we see from FS and others here, but they irritate the damn squirrels so they do have some value!

Regards!

Enchanting woodpeckers, Rupert! More from my travels, first Berlin then Suffolk in Britain. Sometimes I think the Citroen DS is my favorite car of all time--there was nothing else like it.

Many, many thanks for the kind encouragement, FS! I have fond memories of time spent in a Citroen 2CV owned by a friend in Cambridge (UK). Alas she died when the small plane she was on crashed in the backwoods of Thailand.

I was disappointed with my FA 31 when I bought it. It was 'OK', but nothing special. After I sent it to Eric Hendrickson for calibration, it became one of my very favorite lenses.
