From my first day out with the IIs

Crappy light until that magic few moments at sunset. I shot these with the Pentax 17-70 and 43 f1.9 prime. I used a BW circ polarizer on the 43.

one more

I like the clouds on the Olympic Mtns. I shoot this area a LOT as it's near my office and I walk and shoot to exercise. I had been shooting it with the K5 but seems like the IIs produces much more detail in the water.

Loving the detail from the IIs!! Some of the results from a trip to the local zoo with my Sigma 50 - 500 APO DG and Tamron 28 - 75. All shots were hand held

One of the redpolls at the feeder. Both the feather detail and the moss detail on the branch below are better than I could get with my K-5.

DA*300, f/8, 1/350s. +1 EV, ISO400

Nicely done. I patiently wait for my DA* 60-250 to come back to me. It's at Pentax Service Center being cleaned, serviced, and oh yes, the SDM motor is being replaced. Then I'll see what it can do on my IIs.

a moving target..

Hello!
It's been a few days since I hold my K-5 IIs for the first time.
Here's a picture of our 11 years old Monti. Focus is a little bit off, he's moving around a lot (he's pretty healthy for an old dog )
Taken with DA 17-70 f4 (and totally unprocessed - well, exclude resize ).
