hey all... brand new pentaxian here! just recently picked up a k-5 iis. i am using it mostly for concerts and such. here's a photo a from a recent show (mates of state is the name of the band). fyi, i was shooting with a tamron 17-50 wide open and at iso 4000... really happy with the camera so far. you can see the rest of the photos here.

Took a walk out the back of the office after work today - better than 2 hours crawling in the rush hour traffic. I was looking for Dragonflies but none were seen, so decided to get some more shots of the Small and Common Blues as there are a few about.
First 3 shots are of a Common Blue, last one is a Small Blue... very small indeed and only slightly bigger than the end of my thumb.

Truly terrific shots! (Much better than rush hour traffic.) What lens were you using.

I use the Sigma 105mm Macro. Great lens and been using it for years. A bit heavy perhaps and I have thought about getting the Pentax 100mm WR Macro a few times but still stick with the Sigma.
I might treat myself to the Pentax at some point though.
