Thanks Rupert
Sounds more like Oliver's army than Otis' army though

Dakight, Your granddaughter is very photogenic!! Great shot!!

FS, your friend's daughter has really amazing eyes I agree with Rupert!!.

I searched everywhere in Scandinavia (all 3 store chains that stock Pentax Lenses!!) and the HD 55-300 is sold out after a campaign with the K3 and the smc 55-300 is not being stocked anymore
So went for the smc 50-200 ED as a between lens for events.

Cheers

Leon

I tried to satisfy Otis' demands, but had little luck. He didn't make many squirrels available today... but I did what I could.

It was a very dark and dreary day here, no sun, and what light there was barely filtered through all the trees in the Woods of Otis.

All of these are at ISO 6400 except the two squirrels...they are at ISO 5000.

First, the only two squirrels I shot , the rest refused to pose....said they "weren't dressed properly"?

When it drizzles or rains they use their tail as an umbrella....it doesn't work all that well, but I'm not going to tell them, they get angry so easily.

The usual Whitewing Dove on my fence....

Spanish Dove....he was in an area so dark I could barely get a focus on him/her. ISO 6400 is not optimal in a dark setting, but I did like the pose!

Same here...but I liked this pose even better.

With just a little more light, ISO 6400 can be pretty decent. I did love this pose!

A crop of the crop.....all these shots are cropped. I crop everything...whether it needs it or not...I am a crop addict, have been one for ages. I've tried cures, but none work...I just keep on cropping.

Regards!

Thank you very much. She's not only pretty, she's smart and competent which to me is even more important.

Thanks again FS!

Didn't shoot much yesterday, it rained most of the day and I was working hard in my shop remodeling project.

Got this little visitor on the fence...have no idea what he is?

I know what this is! A Newbie squirrel!

Here is a Guard squirrel that was barking at a stray cat that got too close.

He looked to me for help...and of course I ran the cat off for him.

Thanks again FS!

Yesterday it was mostly dark and rainy....but I still got a few out my office windows. Love the K5IIs at high ISOs...sure, they are not perfect, but they are plenty good enough for an old squirrel shooter!

It gets crowded on my cedar fence!

He took the "high ground"!

So did this guy!

Lunch...one seed at a time.

Those sunflower seeds are really tasty!

You can see the rain in the background.

Woody goes hunting!

He knows there is something in there....but will he find it?

Yep! He found a tiny grub in that stump!

Lastly, for FS.....a Newbie squirrel...kind of shy...agreed to pose for his first photo shoot!

He didn't have a name yet....his mama was too busy eating like a hog to name her babies...so I named him FS! He seemed to like that real well!

Regards!

Squirrels are on strike and won't pose...so I only got one shot today and had to sneak around to get it.

A few little birdies...and that was about it!
