Talk about ruffled feathers!. Nice shot Rupert.
Thanks 1952! She sat there for a long time, she was soaked to the bone!

Spanish doves are normally perfectly groomed....

A K5 high iso picture shot in the dark pushed to 102400, noisy and gritty, but I kind of like it anyway.

Lovely flowers, birds, buildings, FS!

Very sorry to hear of the fate of your K5 IIs, Rupert. Hope you are able to replace it soon.

Wonderful shots as usual FS.....I appreciate the fine little birdie....Otis does too! Can you make certain he has plenty to eat...Otis is concerned that he might be losing weight? Really loved the little Woody....fine shot! Otis, not so much. You know how he is after those head-peckers worked him over.

Earned it again!

I like it too...has an antique look to it...quite lovely really!

Regards!

I guess you all heard of my tragic K5IIs accident?

It will all work out.....and whatever happens I'll still be here with my good friends...Otis demands it!

BTW- Our friend Mark Jerling created this Otis Signature Seal.....he did good on it.....If anyone wants one they are readily available for $500. each but Otis has picked up the bill for all his friends, so they are FREE!

Managed to straighten the mounting flange and install it with the 3 screws that still grip. Mounted the Bigma to test it out. The camera now only works in MF and has no aperture control, but most everything else seems to work...so far.

I have to shoot wide open, but that's not a problem, I often do anyhow with the Bigma. At least I have something to use until the K1 arrives and I can send my K5IIs in for an attempted repair.

Don't know if it will still shoot squirrels? They sleep so late on Monday mornings so I will have to try later today. They have pretty rough and wild weekends, you know!

Regards!

It took until after noon for a little girly squirrel to come out, but I was ready and tried the K5IIs and Bigma and it does indeed shoot handsome squirrels in MF mode!
Nothing special, just an average fat squirrel, but I know you are all relieved to see that it is still possible for me to get one with the damaged camera!

For those of you waiting and wringing your hands in concern, I apologize for the scare.....all is well now.... as long as my eyes can MF!

Regards!

I did! It sort of goes without saying that we liked it. Not many of your shots I don't like...I just like some a lot better than others!
Part of that has to do with Otis...he tells me what to like.....It's sad when a damn squirrel runs your life.

Here is MF shot of an angry squirrel this morning that was beaten out on the peanuts by the nasty Jay birds. He wants me to get up from my comfy chair and replenish the peanuts......I told him I want him to stop partying all night and get up early enough to beat the Jays!

"Hey Rupert! Get out here, I've got no peanuts!"

Regards!

Great shots, Rupert. Glad that managed to get your camera back in at least partially working order.
