I thought my first post to the K5iis thread might be more creative than a cat, but I really loved that yawn.

And a wasp

Fine cat shot Tina.....Otis wants to limit cats over here, they make him real nervous!

Love the red wasp...nicely shot! I've been stung by those several times, they have a very nasty sting!

Shot this late yesterday......yep, another damn dove! You shoot what is there, and doves are everywhere here!

Regards!

Thank you, Rupert! Otis should be nervous about cats. Cats are the reason we don't have much of a squirrel population here. Wasps on the other hand, keep trying to take over. At least the one in the picture wasn't dive bombing me.

Very nice dove shot! They always pose so pretty for you.

Thank you. Those guys can be terrifying when we're trying to get in the front door and they start dive bombing our heads!

I've also been having some fun with a set of free LR presets from Sleeklens.

Nice shot Tina! Makes me sneeze though!

Here are a couple more ISO 3200 doves. Otis says birds are worthless, and when they are grainy they don't even make decent gravy.
I keep telling Otis that when I get the K1 I'll be a Pro like FS, and we won't have any more grainy birds!

Some (very few) have expressed concern that old Rupert will eventually run out of handsome squirrels to post. Otis wants you to put that concern aside, he is constantly busy making certain the supply continues in plentiful numbers!

Here is one of his many new offspring....cut little guy...looks a lot like Otis, to no surprise!

Also at ISO 3200 but looks better than the birds, because....squirrels just look better than birds!

Regards!

Otis wanted me to post a correction on that comment.....I guess I heard him wrong. He says this little birdie by FS is very handsome and worthy of being compared to handsome squirrels.

He loved that little birdie...when FS was posting him...but says we are not likely to see him again since he believes FS cooked him and ate him?

Otis also wanted to add...you can shoot with a K1, Nikon or Canon FF, 645Z or anything you can get your hands on, but you won't get a better shot than that one! As usual, he then asked me,,"Why can't you shoot like that?"

Regards!

Today it rained cats and dogs and turtles too. This little guy was warming himself on my patio, he wouldn't come out of his shell but he cracked the door open to have a peek at what I was doing.

K-1 photos are little more grainy at 100 ISO than K-5 II s at 80 ISO !

Nice turtle shot....I love turtles, keep him away from FS...Otis says he makes a lot of turtle soup.

Otis wants to see the shot for proof.

Here is a little newbie girly squirrel that got her first taste of apples yesterday. She was thrilled!

Frederick - Awesome set! Don't know where you find the time to shoot the old K5iis now that you have the K1 blazing away... heh.
Hate to bug you, but gotta ask: I assume this is pixel peeping at 100% on RAW files ? Or did you mean resized to view full image equally with both? I know the 16mp sensor is pretty amazing and punches way above it's weight class still, but that is a pretty astounding comment.
Thanks,
Eric
