I used it about a half dozen times while driving Monstro and company. The first time was to pick up a truckload of test equipment that Boeing had been using for some sort of testing they were doing further North on the island.

All the other times was hauling log debarking equipment from a manufacturer in Sydney, and a couple of times hauling parts and raw materials to the same manufacturer. Big, heavy stuff.

Soon I would like to make a trip to the islands with Mrs. Racer 2.0 for pleasure and sightseeing.

K-5ii--LOVE THIS CAMERA !!

Recent photos taken with my New K-5ii (has about 200 clicks on it now) that I purchased in January, 2019. Like the true time capsule it is, I find the renderings of its 16,3mp sensor, the best of the lot and is still a great design today (it's not dated if a camera produces the images you want).

I have to tell you that after my K-50 was exhausted, I should have just picked up one of these immediately--finding a new k-5ii in the box was a miracle (paid $400 w/the 18-55mm lens in 1/2019)....I find the K-5ii with the AA filter and the 16.3mp sensor to do everything I want it to and with a new limited lens aboard, is crystal clear. Sometimes the old adage,' if it ain't broke, don't fix it' still applies....

Picked it up on eBay. with shipping was $420.00. Wrapped and shiny--that's why I call it my time capsule. Do you notice it's also lighter than the K-3ii? Hell of a camera.

No, I don't have the K3II, waiting on its replacement.

if your K-5/ii is in good shape, it should last a long time...certainly to the point in time when the
new APS-c flagship arrives.

Fisheye is so much fun in moderation. I love my K-5IIs, can't justify buying any new body as I don't think I'll see much improvement for what I need.

With my quirky Tamron 17-50 2.8 it makes a great combo... my Tamron back focuses on the "long" end and makes it very hard to adjust, so I just avoid 50mm FL

Just upgraded from the K10D to the K-5 IIs a few weeks ago. The pink azalea was shot with a Pentax-M 50mm F1.7 The Bradford Pear blossoms were shot with a Sigma DC 17-70mm f2.8-4.5.
