K-5II and non-pentax flash

Question for learned members: Can I use an Olympus FL-50 with my new K-5II? is there any chance it will damage the camera? Will all fucntions work? Any functions that won't? Thanks in advance for your input.

I don't think this will work... It can damage the camera.

It won't damage the camera, since it is meant for a digital camera the trigger voltage is low. Fancy features like TTL metering, high speed sync and automatic zoom won't work. It will work fine in manual or auto mode, it looks like auto mode has 9 aperture options and manual mode goes from 1/1 power to 1/128, which is very good.

It'd definitely be worth using if you already have it.

I run the occasional photo workshop and i put my pentax dedicated flashes on canons and nikons and participants use manual settings. No problems firing and the extra contacts don't do a thing. The issue camera users are worried about are the old film camera flash guns that trigger with a high voltage.
