SMC Pentax-DA 18-270mm not recorded in EXIF (latest Firmware 1.13.23.23)

The title says it all. Am I the only one?

I'm sure it's recorded, just whatever program you're opening the file with doesn't recognize it yet.

The lens is so new that there may need to be updates to either the software you are using or to the firmware for the camera (or both) in order for it to be useable.

Yep. Read by DCU 4.40, but not by ExifTool 9.09 (2012-12-15). THX.

I've just advised the exiftool developer of the addition of the 18-270mm lens. Hopefully the next version will include it!

9.10 is out and the lens is now being identified correctly on the forum, it seems, so that's great!

OK, OK. ;-)

I was mainly interested in hand-hold 270 (first shot). Some CA, which easily can be handled in PP. Slight vignetting full open.
