Update:

After almost a month, my camera returned from United Camera. It works perfectly.
For $144 they replaced the LCD and the entire glass enclosure with authentic Pentax parts! Not bad!
My only concern is that I feel air blow by my face when I "pump" my WR lens. I may have to clarify if the weather seals are intact before braving some rain.
Glad to hear that it is back and repaired. Have you considered adding an ACMAXX cover to the LCD?

Thanks for following up with your results. Yours is the second account of good results from United Camera I've heard this week.

Yes, I do plan on getting a screen protector, but I'm also keeping the strap attached in case I get another case of fumble-fingers.

Glad you got it fixed without paying too much.

I hope this isn't too off topic but does anyone know where I can buy a replacement for the outer glass/plastic over the screen?
