Does anyone know where I can pick one of these plates up? I've looked all over ebay and all the adds have ended, been removed or just don't exist anymore. I've seen a few listed and sold here in the marketplace but nothing recently. I have the plate for my K20 and absolutely love it and would love to get one for my new K-5. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

I also had a great experience from this seller twice. I bought the L bracket for the DBG4 and also bought two standard plates for the DBG4 from him. I would check out one of his auctions for the D800 plate, and send him a message asking if he has any for the K5/DBG4.

I think Really Right Stuff still has K-5 L brackets left in stock listed as K-7 L Bracket. It's listed in their 2013 catalog for a mere $140

I have the RRS L-Plate. It is a beautiful, high-quality piece that works great.

Not cheap but the best in the business.

The same thing happened a while back with me when I wanted to order the Mestos camera plate for the K-5 w/grip. dhsummer was very responsive - had the plate in a listing within the hour. Good people and I love their plates.

He said they are opening their own website soon so they don't list a lot of stuff on ebay anymore. Luckily he was willing to sell me the L-plate I wanted. Now it's just sit and wait for it to come.

I own the Mestos L Plate for K5 + Grip as I think it is the only L plate available that accodates both the K5 and the grip. Very nice, well made - high quality.

I received both my DBG-4 plate and K-5 one (no L) from the seller I mentioned above and also I can say that they are beautifully crafted and the grip one is always on my grip now without affecting my shooting.

I have a Fittest L-plate for my K-20 and absolutely love the craftsmanship, quality and functionality of it. Unfortunately they don't make a plate that accommodates for the K-5 battery grip or I would have bought one of those as well. From looking at both I don't see very much of a difference. Since switching to a gimbal head I absolutely need the L-plate option.

I thought about going the universal plate route if I couldn't find the L-bracket I wanted. I like having the option of being able to open the grip up to change the battery without having to take the plate completely off.
