Anyone know of a good remote for a K5?. Looking to get some northern lights shots on my tripod and want a remote cable.

This review follows my opinion on this wireless remote, and I have to give it 4.5 out of 5.

Pentax uses the same connector as Canon. There are dozens available on eBay for a few dollars directly from China.

Pentax uses a 2.5mm (about 3/32") TSR jack. This is not the same as used on all canons, but anything for Rebel/350d->650d series and also 60d will be ok.

Pre-60d, 1d, 5d, etc uses a different connector which is not the same as Pentax.

Since our K-5's have a built in intervalometer, I didn't get one with the timer function.

The one in the K-5 is more limited than the one in the remote.

I just got this one in the mail today. Half press focuses, full press fires. What more do you need? It will even lock for bulb or continuous shooting.
