Son Of A Beach Pt. 2

To re-cap, the lens button fell off last Aug, found it in my camera bag in Oct, lost it in Nov and just found it in the trunk of my car today. If I jam it in, it stays, but the camera is always in an unlocked state Thankfully, there's enough friction where the lens won't easily come off.

It's only a button. I believe you actually have to push it in, or push in the remains of the button, to unlock the lens. So there should be no worry about the lens falling off.
