K5 ii S Lens purchase questions?

Good day folks, I haven't been here for awhile. Back when the K7 was introduced I jumped on board. Tough times hit financially and I ended up selling my kit. Times have improved and I am ready to jump back in again. I looked at the full line up from Canikon, originally thinking I was going to go full frame. Now if the Pentax FF was imminent I would wait. Anyways after to many hours of research, the K5 ii S just kept looking like the way to go! I loved the feel of my K7! Anyways mostly landscape stuff for me. Wondering what glass you guys would recommend. I'd like a wide prime in the 12mm range. No issues with zooms for me as long as they are a good quality. I have no particular budget in mind, but at the same time my name isn't Trump or Gates.
Thanks for taking the time to read this!

For landscape, go with the DA 15 F4, DA 12-24 F4. Those are the two best landscape lenses for Pentax in my opinion. They are, however, not meant for full frame - so if you intend on going to Pentax FF later, then I would suggest getting a FA 20 F2.8, FA 24 F2, Sigma 12-24, or FA*31 F1.8.

Thanks for the recommendations. I won't be going the FF route for awhile now.

DA 15 f/4 ltd is something of a cult, those that have it love it. It's on my list. DA 12-24 also excellent neither are cheap though. DA 21mm Ltd is one of my favorites but maybe not wide enough for you.

Here is a comparison of the current UWA zooms for Pentax: DA 12-24mm vs Sigma and Tamron 10-24mm Comparison - Introduction - PentaxForums.com That might give you some additional info.

+1 for the DA15mm. I love the pancake design that I find increasingly a great asset. It saves space, can be non-intrusive and is easy to carry. In addition the lens IQ is great as already stated.

Have a look at the Samyang 14mm f2.8. It's a manual lens though but full frame compatible.

DxOMark - Samyang 14mm f/2.8 IF ED UMC Aspherical Canon

It's also very cheap.
