Frugal Filmaker DSLR Rig for the K5

I watched his video on YouTube and decided to build one myself to see how it felt with my camera on it. I've never actually shot much video with my K5 but after hearing about the quality of it I decided to try it out. It's an easy and inexpensive way to steady handheld video shooting in a two-handed stabilizer rig. It didn't take me long to do it and he was right I got out of the store with all materials for less than $11.00. I've mounted my K-x and K5 on it and it feels fine. In the picture I have the K5 with the battery grip but I think I'm going to take the battery grip off for video as it adds unnecessary weight and it puts the weight a little off center from the tripod mounting hole. I'm going to experiment with it and see how I like if for shooting video and I'll report back on how it works for me. If it works I may put some bicycle grips on it to dress it up a bit.
Here's a link to the video if you're interested
