K5 -II sensor upgrade...

Early days I know but does anyone know of suggestions coming from Pentax that they may soon upgrade this model with a bigger sensor?
Nikon have three DXs with 24Mp already out there and slow coach Canon are also expected to launch the APS- C 70D and 7D II this year - also possibly/probably with same size sensor.

Rumour has it the K-5 II was supposed to be a 24 Mp sensor, but the sensor supplied didn't meet Pentax's technical specs. I think you can assume that sooner or later some 24 MP sensor will.
