Interval timer

is there such a thing for the K-5, I know of the software timer , nothing more ?/

It's actually build into the K5.
You can take 1-999 photos and set specific interval, don't know the range of that.
If you want more photo's a digital remote release should do the job and PKtether also works.

I have one labeled shutterboss from Vello. Just make sure you get one with mini plug connection, I think it is the same as Canon, Nikon seems to use a different connector.

Yeah the Canon 450D, 500D serries use the same plug for sure, higher end canon use different plug though.

Can you actually complain someone not to read a manual like you get with Pentax?
I for one found the K5 manual more confusion then aircraft maintance manual...
