I would not say the K30 is typically enjoyed more by folks coming up from P&S. I imagine they do, of course. But I came from K10D, K20D, K-7, and K5 and picked up the K30 as a back-up to the K5 or so I thought. I find the K30 the perfect blend of simplicity and sophistication, size and build, price and performance. My K5 is now the backup to the K30 and will likely get sold to start my slush-fund for whatever comes after the K5II series. The K30 is just somehow "right" and has been a fantastic tool for me.

Let me say I am more devious. Use subtle manipulation so the other half tells me to treat myself. Same thing, but at least the other half feels good as well.
