I still love my k20d...!
I was like that, I was happy to keep shooting with my K20D, but I shoot side by side with my wife, and after consistently seeing her images, particularly of sunsets come out way better than mine after a bit of PP we gave the K20D to my sister and got me a K-5. I always thought I'd retire the K20D to my shelf, but in the end, I might have been tempted to use it for something. It's just as good as a K-5 if you have enough light. On sunsets that extra 2 stops of Dynamic Range is just draw dropping when you start pulling stuff out of the shadows.

Ah, those were the days. Fast ASA 400 film (they still make Tri-X). Who would have ever thought that something like the K-5 at ISO 400 makes better B&W picks than Tri-X (which was quite grainy).

The K-5 replaced my K20D (daughter now has it and loves it). I don't see an upgrade coming in my future for a few years. The K-5 is that good.

The K-5 is a very impressive camera, I started in DSLRs with a K-X, it is now my wifes camera and she just loves that camera. I have had the K-5 for a year now and am still learning new things on it every time I use it, this camera just keeps chugging along now matter what I throw at it, ya it should go down in history of one of Pentaxs' best models, ya the new models have improvements but nothing to really upgrade to, for the money the K-5 is pretty much the best deal. I dont pixel peep, so the K-5 is plenty sharp enough for me, I dont even pixel peep the images from other folks that shoot with a K-5IIs.....it doesn't matter to me, in fact side by side similar images from both cameras actually look the exact same IQ.
I will be picking up another K-5 body soon in the future, I really like seeing the prices coming down on them in the market place from folks who have to have the "next best thing"

Just got the grip...finally...

made a great camera even greater...and Pentax, it's those little things...like, storage for the grip cap AND the camera connector cap right in the battery holder, and an extra memory card slot...does Canikony do that?

Did my first few pro shoots with the camera...will publish some stuff shortly.

Oct. 8th...

Cheers,
Cameron

Awesome pics, Cambo. A real Telecaster and a knock-off Strat. Are they just props or his own equipment?

Well that "knock off" strat is a G&L and a VERY high quality instrument. It was Leo Fenders baby company.

G&L - George and Leo...Leo Fenders last company. The thing sounds GREAT, and he's a wonderful player, as well as a photographer and graphic artist.

And thanks.

Heh new to what? This forum maybe, but certainly not the "Music Man" I had a MM amp for sometime, cannot recall the model number, but had four tens in it and screamed like a banshee. Been playing for forty years and I'm still no good!
