Sensor dust cleaning k-5 IIs

As I understand dust cleaning system require AA filter, by vibrating it at hyper-sonic frequency.
If AA filter is removed how this work?

I did read somewhere that there is a piece of optical glass with the same dimensions and weight replacing the AA filter.
