I don't know if I know my K-5 "inside out" but I use all the modes on the dial, focus points, HDR and AEB functions, intervalometer, flash modes, drive modes, etc.. Pretty much everything except the Sync port and Mic port. Oh, and I rarely change the metering... lazy I guess!

Cool. Since you're the "Go to" man, please answer this. I was messing with the camera this morning and was in flash mode where I had "Slow Speed Synch" enabled. I now can't access that function.

I access that with the down-button on the 4-way pad (below the OK). That brings up a bunch of flash options.

Shouldn't this be in the K-5 section?

Slow speed sync is available only in settings where the camera is in control of the shutter speed. If you use TV or TAV or M etc, Slow Speed Synch is disabled.
Is this your situation?
Try switching to AV, SV, P modes.

I just discovered something that I hadn't noticed before. I shoot sports using TAv and use Hyper for everything else. It turns out that if you are in Hyper and use the aperture dial, Slow Synch is enabled and disabled when the shutter dial is in use.

Not sure if that's ingenious or meant to confuse.
