pentax 18-270mm

Anyone have any experience with the new Pentax 18-270mm lens? I sold my 18-135 a few months ago to get a Sigma 17-50mm f2.8 but now I miss my zoom. Any suggestions.

It doesn't seem to get much love on the Interwebz. Why not go for the 55-300mm

It's not a bad lens, but certainly nothing surprising given that it's a superzoom. It's just a rebranded Tamron. We've got a review of it here:

Shouldn't this be on the lens section? Anyway, the 55-300 suggested above would be a good option to pair with the 17-50 but if you're looking for a one lens solution (and half the cost of the 18-270) the newest Sigma 18-250 F3.5-6.3 DC Macro HSM is currently $399 at B&H until the end of this month. There was a "fun" comparison between the Sigma and the DA*60-250 on this thread: https://www.pentaxforums.com/forums/pentax-slr-lens-discussion/227006-lens-comparison.html

I own the Sigma 18-250 F3.5-6.3 DC Macro HSM now for 6 months, and i'm really very happy with it. It performs very well for a super zoom and is very affordable. Also take a look at the third party lens database on this site and the following reviews:
