Convert to RAW?

Would like to set K5 to RAW. File format grayed out. Shows JPEG. How do I set RAW? Where do I see RAW on shootlng screen?

Fisrt move the mode dial off the green rectangle.

Now you can change the File Format from JPEG to RAW or RAW +.

The Green Mode is the very basic mode where JPEG is the file type.

Also - READ the manual. Its all in there.

Yep, raw is greyed out in some scene modes. And if you turn on some features, like HDR. Some features, like digital filters, only affect jpegs (including the preview jpeg thumbnail in the raw file). Some settings, like highlight correction, will affect the raw files.
Also, in the menu you can choose some raw settings like format (pef, dng)
Now just search the forum for threads about raw processing software and take your photos to a whole new level
