Pentax K5II ebook?

I have recently acquired a Pentax K5II, after having used a Pentax *ist DL for two years, and I am overwhelmed by the numerous options and settings!

I have reviewed the user manual, but it's rather dry and quite difficult to follow, so I was wondering if anyone could recommend a really user-friendly and comprehensive ebook for the K5II.

Thanks in advance.

This is the only pentax ebook I am aware of. I have not used it and am not in a position to make a comment

Thanks for posting that link! I was at our Barnes & Noble bookstore today, complaining that they didn't have any Pentax books. Now -- on your link, I found that the author also has one for the K-30 as well... see Pentax K-30 e-book for all PDF reading devices. (Free sample partial download) - AlettA Photographic .
Downloaded his sample, it looks like a good straightforward user manual. It's a PDF,and you can print it yourself if you want. Not bad!

It's a killer that there are no pentax books around. I got my wife a really nice dedicated book for her Canon G11. The book turned out to be a better investment than the camera. (Ditched the camera as it required repairing for a second time and the Lady is very happy with her new pentax MX1)

I last pentax book I purchased is the Fifth revised edition 'The Pentax Way' 1972. Still comes in handy if I manage to pickup some old gear.

Bob -- strange, isn't it? You'd think Pentax would spend a little marketing money on a ghostwriter ... just to get something up on Amazon.

Anyway, just bought and downloaded the K-30 book mentioned above. It's a PDF, which I like because I sell my books as PDFs ... absolutely the best format, by far, for both screen readability and printing. Great for both author and reader. This K-30 one has security, to prevent copying, but allows printing, so I can take it to FedExOffice for a quick printout and a 3-ring binder.

Here's your link again, to the main Pentax e-book site -- AlettA Photographic ... recommended!

IMHO, all of Yvon's ebooks for Pentax cameras are two things, 1) excellent extensions of the user manuals, and 2) written from the point of view of a Pentax user. That coupled with his tips on photography, these books are excellent guides and bargains. I own the guides to the K10, K20, K5, and when I get my next Pentax body, I will, no doubt, get Yvon's ebook on that one as well.

I would like to buy the Yvon's K5 ebook from pentaxdslrs.blogspot but you know if K5II and K5IIs are covered by this ebook?
Many thanks for the answer.

@Toni60 -- you can download a free sample of the K-5 ebook at AlettA Photographic ... it will probably have a table of contents and you'll be able to see if it has updates for the K-5II and IIs...
