It gets better ratings than the Tamron lens of the same zoom range. It may be worth getting and really testing it yourself.

Last day I ask the shop where I voucher the Rolleiflex several yrs ago. Mah be they have an adapter Rollei-Pentax on store.
I would like to test the old lenses as macro lenses, when used with the estender tubes.
Zeiss told me they cannot reach infinite that is nor relevant for macro.
I must use them in manuale mode.
The K-5 mount has a lot of electrical contacts. What happen of I install an old adapter that surely has a flat metal flange over them? La there any possibility to have a electrical corto with camera damage?
Thank for the assistance.
Ciao

There is no problem with metal adapters on the K mount.
The older K lenses have no contacts also, they are just a flat mount so are shorting all the pins.
The K-5 and all Pentax DSLR s are designed to accept those lenses with no damage to the camera.
When the camera sees all pins shorted it just knows a fully manual lens is mounted.

Thank you. Your answer is very useful, so I shall try the old lens (of adapter found).
The program M has to be selected. Am I right?
