Hey, Marquis... I just received my Sigma 17-50 from B&H for my K5IIs. I had to wait forever for Sigma to replenish that lens in a Pentax mount but, as indicated by Sigma's Sales Ops Manager, B&H received the most units. Seeing Adam's comment about not getting optimal results out of a K5IIs unless you use Primes is a bit disconcerting considering a Pentax Prime - in the same range as that Sigma - is twice as much money. If you can wait until February (I believe that was the quoted date of release) you could pay $200 more and get the Sigma 18-35 f/1.8. Just a thought.
One thing to add here... I got impatient and ordered a Tamron 17-50 and, was one of the poor unfortunates who received a bad one. It couldn't focus to save its... well, you know and, it had a slight grinding noise when I rotated the zoom ring. I had the focusing adjustment to -10 by the time I finally gave up and sent it back to Amazon. When I received the Sigma, there was no comparison in build quality and, it focuses properly.
