Black Friday K5II owners club . . . well not really :)

But I am very stoked to have a nice dslr again and it was possible because of the BF sale.

I would like it if people who purchased the K5II on BF could post 1 or 2 of their very first shots with thenew camera. Just for fun.

I am a rank amateur but here are a few from my yard

My BF K-5II is my first "top-tier" body after years of intro- and midranges. I'm worried that it is going to make me lazy and/or dumb(er), because it seems to be able to do things without me having to think about it.

(Yes, I know this is a K-01, not a K-5. I wanted a quickie shot of my "Smurf", and got it, first try, even with flash.)

I'm on my way to work, but I'll post something tomorrow. We're driving to Disney tomorrow. I might get y'all a shot of Florida's welcome center with the blue angel jet display.

I'll see mine within an hour, and my spare battery is ready to run!
I shall add a shot here pretty soon... hmmm now how to break it in?

Edit - wife wanted to watch a movie, then my temperature dropped to 96.8°
so a day late, but better late than otherwise!

K-5 II image 001, with DA50/1.8

Not the greatest shot, but I am loving this camera. Can't wait for the grip to get here.

That's the cutest tiny woodpecker I've ever seen - do you know its type, or is it just a juvenile form of a more common one?

It's a female Downy woodpecker, very common around my area. The male looks the same except has a red slash on top his head

There are a couple that come to my deck/feeders all the time along with house finches, gold finches, nuthatches, chickadee, and sparrows. Had a large red belly woodpecker out there this am, but could not get to the camera quick enough.

Since I'm on the road, this is just from my cell phone. http://i1004.photobucket.com/albums/af167/dansamy/Mobile%20Uploads/IMAG0195_1_1.jpg
I'll have to add some pics from k-5ii tomorrow. I'll have laptop access then!

Mobile uploads album is just that. Assorted, mostly junk, pics from my cell phone.

I dropped my first image into my earlier post.

Settings changed, dust sought found & rechecked (clean!), now on to firmware 1.06

Firmware updated - just shot some boxes in the corner of the room, too dim to read anything on them visually but SAFOX X AF nailed it nice and fast. Hooray!
still packing to move - 50mm f/1.8 iso6400

Had a nice female red bellied woodpecker here this am. She has been visiting the water quite a lot but this is the first time I have seen her at the suet. I have to remember to boost the ev comp by +1-1.5 to get my snow nice and white and probably need to tweak the WB a little. I am loving the K5II

I confess: I saw this thread and worried of a discovery that K-5ii had a BF (back focus) issue and other times I think it's my Best Friend thread!
Waaay too many BFs out there for Black Friday to stick out in my dazed holiday condition!

Here's the glamour shot with its new BF the DA70 Limited -

Sorry about that Jim. I was going to spell BF out, perhaps I should have.

Anyway, took my k5 to the rink today being as I can't play because of an injury. I definitely need a lot of work on my sports shooting. I have 2 weeks and then I can play again.. Can't wait
