Hi I just switched to a k5 and find it a bit frustrating that I can't autofocus in live view mode. As I mostly do landscape, I hope to be able to compose my shot more effectively. Does anyone have any tips for me. Thank you very much!

It should autofocus, check that the setting for shutter button half press in the button customisation bit in the menu isn't set to exclude AF during live view. It's not blisteringly fast mind you.

It should just work;; it works with mine so a setting might be in the way. No idea which one.

It's probably a wrong setting.
Look at photo menu 5 button customization, go to shutter button half-press.
Select: enable AF Off or Off (live view onley)
That works for me.

You could also try resetting all custom functions (the last option on Custom menu 4).

Which lens are you using? My Sigma 50mm f1.4 won't focus in Live View (needs some firmware update, I think).
