K-5 timer light blinking

Hi, new here - can't seem to find answer online or in the manual... As I was sitting here reviewing the manual and setting up my user mode settings - randomly - the Self-timer lamp/ Remote control receiver lamp on the rear would start flashing. Even while sitting on the table as I read the manual, after the screen went dark from timeout - it would start flashing. on/off/on/off... at a regular cadence... then end... sorry. did not get a count. It Is not the card activity light.

I had not noticed this behavior before. Have had around a year... Anybody notice this behavior, or know what it's trying to tell me?

It only does that when it's in remote control mode. Confirm this by going to the drive mode menu and checking the current setting.

That's why it puzzles me. I had it in single shot mode, and had set another user mode up for bracketing, Had not entered timer mode. Had thought one of my cats took the remote out of the bag and was playing with it...

OK, thanks. upon looking closer - my one user mode was set to self time. Must have been that. I had not noticed before as I never used the timer before. Thank you Adam.
