Hello all,

I just wanted to let you all know today I have joined also the Pentax K-5 IIs owners group and I am glad that I can be part of this community. Until this day I was shooting with my trusty K-r, but for a while now I was looking for an upgrade as I felt that my technique and skills have developed also.

Lot of light for all of you

I'm from San Diego, moved to St Louis, and REALLY miss home, especially after this winter

I always took the surfliner to get back to LA...

Congratulations! I upgraded from a trusty K-r too which I will keep as a backup since I still think it takes decent photos.

@cali92rs -- No Surfliner in St. Louis ... that's your payback for going over to the dark side and becoming a Cardinals fan!
Anyway, more SD-area photos you might like at JonDonahue | SmugMug -- stay warm, and, if you have a soft heart, say a prayer for the Padres...

Hi Everyone,

I am from sunny Singapore in Asia. I just got the K5IIs 2nd hand on the 1st of April 2014. It had 10k shutter count and the camera is great. Used to own the K10D/K20D/K7/K5 and got the K30s for the faster AF, but this one is even faster.

Greetings all from sunny Florida. I got my K-5 II a few weeks ago, upgraded from my 7year old Olympus E-500. Took me months to make up my mind as to which camera to purchase. Was all set to buy a Nikon D5200 when they dropped the price on the K-5 II, woo hoo. All I can say is awesome! Love the way it handles and the placement of the controls. Lots to learn and lover here.

Hello Ya'll I have been shooting K5 & now K5IIs for about a year and just found this club. I have a question has anyone here in the group tried a Tamron-F 1.4X Pz-AF MC4 ? I just by pure luck found a brand new one and ordered it yesterday. The reviews on this TC are great but I would be interested in hearing from someone who has used one with the K5IIS. Thanks, Bob

I have one and have used it on my trusty old K10D several times. It works well (for a teleconverter). Haven't tried it with my K5ii yet.
