Rainy day with K-5 II

I went to my first Rugby game yesterday. My granddaughter started playing about two weeks ago and we went to support her and take a few photos. I don't normally do sport photography, but gave it my best. The only long lens I have is a Vivitar 70-210mm f2.8-4.0 manual focus. I was hoping to use this lens with CIF but the pouring rain stopped that ideal. The only WR lens I have is the DA 18-135mm 3.5-5.6 so off we went. The camera & lens did very well, considering the weather conditions. I shot mostly at F5.6 and 1/500. I don't know if that was fast enough, but it seem to work OK. Photos were shot in RAW and processed in LR. Out of about 220 photos I ended up with about 90 keepers.

Those are some mean looking girls! Nice shots considering the conditions.

It's pretty difficult to separate the teams with both in majority black uniforms! The black team should have put white shirts on, or the red team white shorts!

Just based on the shots you posted here, Bravo. You did a great job, especially considering the conditions.
