ISO 6400 - Usable!

So I came from a Canon 20d...and was use to certain limitations. Last week I found myself in the Muir Woods in California and it was late afternoon. I found myself sitting on iso 6400 most of the time because of how dark it was below all the trees and growth. I wasn't really holding out a lot for the shots, thinking I'd have to keep these at small sizes...

Well wasn't I pleasantly surprised to find some of them quite usable, and looked a lot better than I thought they would. Seriously...loving this camera!!!

Great shots. Very nice composition. Which lens(es) did you use?

Thank you for sharing.

well done... likewise, I like the first owl shot, the second one is not bad either. I also like my k5IIs too; faster and more accurate focus than k5.

Wonderful shots! They show more ofyour skill than the level of the equipment.
