My K5IIs Review

I did a small review here as well, but a more comprehensive one here. Gotta give the K5IIs it's props, I did my part.

It's a terrific camera.
Also good review.

Interesting review! I'll have to try the settings you suggested. I have to say though, I was more impressed with the AF on the K5iis with the original firmware. All the updates seem to have made it worse (especially in low light) not better. The elimination of the camera crashes that happened with the original firmware are a useful tradeoff though.

Thanks!

Well I didn't test the AF long enough prior to the fw update on my end, but I really don't notice much difference. I don't see that any of the FW updates even mentioned tweaking the AF performance, do you have that info from somewhere?

I thought I had seen mention of tweaks to the AF, but whether or not it was explicitly mentioned, who knows what they had to modify to resolve the crashes? I remember testing the camera in almost complete darkness when I first got it, but since then I've had a lot more trouble focussing in low light - ie the camera seems to hunt more.
