In-Camera Image Modifications

Hello,

I have a technical question which may be splitting hairs, but here goes. I use a K-5II and have it set up to shoot RAW +. Which means every shot I take gets two camera outputs, a RAW file and a JPEG.

My question is, whenever I decide I want to do some in-camera modifications to an image before I remove the card and load it to my computer, which file does the camera produce the modified image from, the original RAW or the original JPEG file? The resultant modified image is a JPEG, but I think it would be preferable to have it produced from the original RAW file rather than the original JPEG file.

Any ideas?

Thanks.

If you select RAW development, it will work on the RAW file and then save another JPEG. If you do other editing, such as cropping or rotating, that would be applied to the original JPEG.
