HELP! K-5 auto focus issue and strange noise

Have had the same problem - I went to an local air field to see a Corsair fly for the first time and my favourite lens wouldn't auto focus , neither would my 100-330 so I went manual focus ( argghhhhhh : tore my hair out but got good shots ) . I've cleaned the contacts with alcohol swabs ( rather dry ) and now no problems . I hope this helps

Nope, cleaned the lenses, the sensor, and all the contacts with no luck.

When the AF gets stuck, it makes a noise like its trying to do something, like whatever tells the motor to move doesn't have enough power.
I've tried several batteries, they don't seem to be the issue either.

It does seem to be worse when its cold out, but that could be in my head.
