All of your comments have me highly considering picking up a used k-5ii while my k3ii is in for repair. But I might feel the same way about the sharpness and detail of the k3 you feel about the 5 and be unable to go to the smaller sensor

Yes, I did enjoy. Very nice, and thanks for sharing. Glad that you got the K5 and found your way back. I'm a bit "lost" now myself and struggling to land; your narrative at the bottom has provided some inspiration.

Trying to "land". Yes. What fixed it for me, was to embrace different genres, and to become a full time professional. Video also changes everything.

My vote goes to taking time calibrating focus with all of your lenses so you know your shots will be as sharp as possible.
