I absolutely love my K-5, but unfortunately have to sell it to offset the damage the K-1 purchase did to the bank account. I really wish I could keep it. It's the perfect size for my hands.

You say "one of", but you cite three different bodies, with differing capabilities.

are you suggesting that the "Big-Mac" is NOT a "CLASSIC", world wide?
May not be the best, but it is a classic.
Thanks, that is my point. Just because it is a classic does not make it the best. There is an implication in the original post that the K-5 is a better camera than the K-3. I can agree that the K-5 is a classic, because it brought a lot of attention for Pentax and sales were impressive. Having owned both, I can assure you, the K-5 is not as capable as a K-3.

well said, dan
and, of course, if the K-5 had not been such a success, the K-3 may never have existed --> Pentax may have gone directly to Full-Frame

Although I think it's too early to say whether the K-5 is a classic, classic and best are two different categories. There are many classic cars that would hardly qualify as the best technically, but hit all the right buttons emotionally to be a classic
