Pentax K-5 Firm ware version 1.11 verse version 1.16

Last night I upgraded my other camera k-5ii and the upgrade from v101 to 107 was dymamic but didn't fix the prob with that camera.
I am wondering what the 1.16 firmware upgrade is like in the K-5 pentax, can anyone tell me before I go and do it as with my k-5ii. I sorta liked the earier version however I don't know if the dynamic change was due to the fault in the camera? I like normal photo's that show the true image however saying having one camera that gives dynamic results will be good in some artistic type of areas from a out of the camera perspective. So having one dynamic and one conservative camera would be good and I want to know is there any reason to upgrade firmware to 1.16 from 1.11. thank you for taking the time to read this.

Well 2x converter wouldn't focus so I bite the bullet and upgrade.

The kenko 2x converter will work on the k-5ii but not on the K-5 with the latest firmware.

It will particially work on 5-5 but you will miss a lot of photo's if you rely on the auto focus.

Sounds like an issue with the mount conductivity perhaps?

I don't know. Adam or uncle do you guys know what the 12v dc charge cables are called for charging batteries in camera?

You can't charge Pentax dSLR batteries in the camera.
