I'm guessing that it's the inside of a mega Christmas tree, looking up from the base.

It's actually a canopy of lighted netting material with a set of decorative balls hanging down in the middle, starting with a larger one at the top and then becoming progressively smaller. Makes the decoration look layered?

Really nice! Makes me think of something from a Si-Fi movie going into a worm hole.
